WASH (Water & Sanitation)

IPCA nurtured and scaled-up resilience and emergency community-based IPCA’s WASH Unit is a community-based resilience and emergency program which aims to enhance provision of emergency clean water and promotion of hygiene to create awareness about the importance of hygiene promotion in all WASH interventions.

IPCA WASH activities include drilling of Boreholes, construction of latrines, distribution of sanitary materials to vulnerable communities, distribution of water collection containers, provision of water guards/chlorine, distribution of hand washing facilities, and awareness training on hygiene. The IPCA WASH Program has built strategic partnerships with the Japanese Embassy, the WASH Cluster, GiZ, UNWOMEN, UNFPA and UNICEF to maximize its interventions in Western Bahr El Ghazal, Western Equatoria, and Eastern Equatoria states.
